3 staycation locations you must not miss
We may be losing out on a holiday or two during the National Day weekend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate close to home. Check out these fab resorts for a quick couple of days of fun.
The Jumeirah Group’s first property outside the UAE, the concept of the décor interlaces heritage and history. The low-lying area, where the property is located, is where waters merge and flow into the sea, which has become a distinct feature of the hotel.
Of course, this means plenty of water activities – banana boat, jet skiing, parasailing, and more. Kids can entertain themselves at one of the two clubs – the Sinbad Kids Club, and The Scene Teenagers Club.
Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
It’s a long drive form Dubai, but you can fly over to the Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Housing 3 luxurious resorts, each with its own unique charm, the island is home to a large number of animals and wildlife, all of which you can get up, close, and personal with on the morning safari.
The island tries to retain the natural habitat as much as possible, so you can’t drive there, although you can move around in the hotel vehicles. From feeding the animals to cycling and trekking, form planting mangrove trees to chilling by the pool, you will want to keep coming back for more.
Alila Jabal Akhdar, Oman
Oman has beautiful water spots, but a popular new spot is ‘The Green Mountain’ or Jabal Akhdar. Part of the Al Hajar mountain range, it is one of the most scenic spots, and a regular on most Instagram feeds so go get your perfect shot.
You can stay at the Alila Jabal Akhdar, perched 2,000 metres above sea level, from where you can explore the region’s magnificent landscape. They have various activities to keep you busy, along with all the luxuries of a resort, so get your groove on.
